A space where beauty transcends the ordinary. Beyond being a fun way to express style and personality, different color schemes have the ability to affect one’s mood & outlook.
Paracord comes in various colours & I love creating collections. Matching the best colours together, coming up with names. All my collections are inspired by nature.
When I first started, I wanted to have pretty colors. I was unsure about what people would love & it made me a little insecure sometimes. But I needed to follow my path, my vision. So when I shifted my perspective, that I am doing this for myself, that I want to do what I love, I let go of the idea of what others may like.
My first collection was the Desert collection. I’ve never been to the desert (We live in the Netherlands, there are no deserts here) But it looks so otherworldly. Actually the first logo that I made for Dejavoodoodogs was a dog in a Ufo.
The desert collection, includes the colors : Alien, Armadillo, Prairie & Skippy. I choose the names carefully, usually I have multiple name options for one color & one just fits best. They have to be something in nature.. a mushroom, an animal, a phenomenon, they have to match the color, it just needs to feel right for me.
For dogs there are 8 collections currently :
The Desert, Light Desert, Dark Desert, Forest, Light Forest, Paradise, Jungle & Arctic Tundra.
For cats there are 6 collections currently :
The Desert, Dark desert, Forest, Light Forest, Paradise & Arctic Tundra. With Paradise having one additional color, that the dog collection doesn’t have. In the future I want to add the 2 remaining collections.
For cats I use paracord type 1 with a Cobra knot. It’s a flat knot that matches well with a break-away buckle. For dogs I use paracord type 3 with a Snake knot. Because of the different types, some colours may not be exactly the same. But I’m always on the lookout for the best alternative, so both collections (dog & cat) will match.
Color comparison
I wanted to compare all colors from the collections. Colors are an emotional language. They are a reflection of your personality, a way to express style, taste or how you are feeling. Every shade tells a story. Different hues can affect your mood & behaviour.
Which color is your favourite? Or do pets have a favourite? Apparently dogs & cats favor yellow & blue. Maybe because their vision is very similar to a human with red-green color blindness.
Colors help us express without saying a word. Maybe you see a color & you’re just drawn to it. It could be your zodiac’s lucky color, or the vibe that matches your pet’s energy. Reflect what’s felt but unseen.
